Congratulations!
Your campus has been selected to participate in LinkedIn Day™: Step Into Who You're Becoming, a structured, career-connected learning experience developed in collaboration with Houston ISD Career & Technical Education.
LinkedIn Day™ is designed to support high school seniors enrolled in CTE Practicum courses as they transition from high school into postsecondary education, industry, and workforce pathways.
Objective
LinkedIn Day™ provides an immersive, career-connected learning experience for seniors enrolled in approved CTE Practicum pathways, including but not limited to:
- Arts, Audio/Visual Technology & Communication
- Technology-based Practicum pathways
- Other approved senior-level CTE programs
The initiative bridges classroom instruction, portfolio development, and professional readiness by supporting students in professional identity development, digital profile creation, portfolio translation, and networking practice.
Next Steps
1. Campus Confirmation & Registration
To confirm participation, campuses must complete the LinkedIn Day™ Registration Form (link provided separately).
2. Campus Liaison (Required)
Each participating campus must designate one Campus Liaison as the primary point of contact between the campus and the CTE Department.
Campus Liaison Responsibilities
Coordinate student eligibility and readiness · Support distribution and collection of required documentation · Submit the final student roster · Ensure completion of required student surveys and facilitator rubrics · Coordinate communication related to scheduling and logistics
Pre-Event Preparation
Participating teachers and students will receive Teacher Facilitator Guides and Student Workbooks to support structured preparation prior to the event. Pre-event preparation ensures students arrive eligible and prepared, event time is used effectively, and instructional alignment is maintained.
Evaluation & Impact
All participating students and facilitators are required to complete post-event evaluation tools to measure impact and inform continuous improvement. Completion of the student reflection survey and facilitator rubric is required for all participating campuses.
Logistics & Documentation
The CTE Department will coordinate host-site logistics, schedules, and district-aligned documentation. Campuses will ensure completion of any required student forms or acknowledgments prior to the event date.
Thank you for your partnership in providing meaningful, career-connected learning experiences for our students.
